Top o' the mornin!

My maiden name was Lammons, which I have been told is scotch/irish, so perhaps I have a little bit of Irish blood in me! Anyway, I do think St.Patrick's Day is a fun holiday, though I don't drink beer and I am not Catholic. I always want to make cards but it seems it is a holiday that usually looses out and gets no cards made.

I was in Joanns last week and saw this gold handmade paper in the framing section. It's purpose is to cover a mat (or anything you might want to cover). It reminded me, however, of gold coins. I did not have a stamp for the cauldron (or whatever the container is called), so I just made one up with black paper.

The moral of the story is to think out of the envelope and be open to other purposes for things....and don't be afraid to do a little sketch and cut something out if you don't have a stamp of it. Sketch the object lightly and then fold down the middle (if it is symmetrical like this) and cut away!

Top o' the mornin!....be sure to wear your green so you don't get pinched!!
