Snowed in!

We spent the weekend at my daughter's house in Cordova (suburb of Memphis) this weekend and planned on going to a lectureship an hour and a half away Monday morning. Well we woke up to 4-5 inches of snow!
I walked down to Shelby Farms Park and met a neighbor on the way. We walked together and had a fun time discussing all sorts of topics.
When I got back to the house, I made some snow cream (mine with Splenda!) and made a lemonade slushy with Crystal Light and snow...yum, yum!
My daughter and her husband (both teachers) had woke up and got ready for work before they learned of the snow and the schools being closed! The kitties were very glad they were home, though!
The roads seem like they will be okay for us to try our trek this afternoon. I know some of you in other areas are SICK of snow this winter, but here in the south it is a fun thing. Since Memphis got hit with ice last weekend, they are probably getting a little tired of it all! We enjoyed looking at photos from the Washington DC area from this weekend.
Hope you are all warm and toasty!

Can't believe you got all that snow! We actually had sunshine yesterday and have sunshine today. Tired of all that drizzling gloom which we will get more of this week. At least we got a sunshine break even though it is still cold. Atlanta

Brrrrrr! Don't get much snow here in Salem, OR, but you can have it (except at Chistmas - then it's mine!)

Your snow is beautiful, but I must say, I'm glad it's your snow. Born, raised in Wisconsin.... loving California. It's been raining here, and we are getting lots of it....but today it was in the hight 50's....can't beat that. We live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains...so, we do get snow....but not like in the mid-west.

I really enjoy seeing all your pictures of the area. I live in Talbott, Tn. just about 40 min. from Knoxville. A lot of your photo's are of places I have also been to. I love that. Your talent is awesome. Keep up the good work!
