Weekend before last when I was at the cabin, we went to one of my favorite falls in NE Georgia, the Minnehaha Falls, pictured above. I took a photo with my iPhone and sent it to my friend Sharon. When she saw the name of the falls, she asked what I was doing in Minneapolis. I told her that was next week! I thought it was quite a coincidence that I was indeed going to Minneapolis the next week as I had never been there before. Anyway, here is the Georgia version. Below is the Tallulah Gorge, where Deliverance was filmed.
Below is the Minnehaha in Minneapolis...sent this also to my friend Sharon. Maybe I should ask for suggestions for this weekend's trip!
If you like to photograph waterfalls, you probably already know the trick to get the smooth water look...just slow down your shutter speed. I have done a project for Spotted Canary about using filters on your camera, but I think I will work up one of things you can do to achieve special effects with just the camera, like this one of the waterfalls.
Here is Minnehaha with Hiawatha. When I was little, we had a friend that called me Minnehaha.....since I was a "mini Holly"! We had a great trip and I am sure I have more photos to share! I did get to go see my friend Heidi Blankenship who lives a couple of hours south of the cities, so that was fun.
Have a great day!

I don't believe it--2 days and the posts are not related to Halloween. Are you feeling ok? I REALLY loved the "witch shoes?" card.
Gorgeous pictures and I had no idea there was a Minnehaha in Georgia, so I was in Sharon's car, too. Holly, I think you could go just about anywhere and take breathtaking photos. So glad you share.
Beautiful! We don't have too many waterfalls in TX, so I'm glad you posted these!
I am SO ready to go back- I can just imagine the coolness and the sound of the running water. Fun times!!
I thought you lived in MN when I saw Minnehaha Falls mentioned. My BIL lives walking distance to the falls. I hope you enjoyed your visit to MN.
Beautiful photos as always!!!!
