Amelia Island Plantation

I mentioned in my previous post that we had been to Amelia Island Plantation. This is located in the very northeast corner of Florida and is the last of the sea islands that are along the Ga and part of the SC coasts. Fernandina is the "town" that is county seat for Nausau county and Jacksonville is the closest city. That is where I grew up. Jim had a conference there, so we enjoyed staying at a condo there for several days and then was able to go to my sister's house and visit family on Father's Day. The trees along the coastal areas are bent as they grew up with the beach winds. I love the look of it. We did travel a lot in June, but July will be even busier. There is a lot coming up with a trip to Orlando for a Donna Dewberry show where I will be teaching students to use Copic markers, a local Scrapbook show and then off to Chicago for the CHA summer show. I will be in the Spellbinders booth and will be working soon on new die....hmmm, there might even be a sneak peak coming up sometime in July but I will keep you posted on that. Hold on tight!
