Happy Anniversary Cards

I love Lever Cards! The tutorial was on Split Coast Stampers a few weeks ago, written by my friend Laura Lipe. I changed up the card by using die for cutting the opening and increasing the card size to 5 by 7 inches.
I used Spellbinders die and a Quietfire Designs stamp for "Congratulations". I love using the elegant look from each company together!
Spellbinders has discontinued most of their alphabets, but I bought several before they were gone. These numbers come from one of those sets. Just another reason to buy it when you see it!

I will have another guest designer post on the Quietfire blog this Friday, so be sure and check it out here. It also features a lever card.

Today happens to be our 37th anniversary! So, I used the tutorial from today's Split Coast Stampers Newsletter for a triple easel card. I tried doing this with hearts back last fall when I visited with Laura Lipe, but I had better luck using the octagon die from Spellbinders. It was easier to see the half way marks.

I used photos from our recent trip to the zoo with the three grandchildren. We took them on the carousel so I made reference to life's ups and downs on the back of the card where I wrote my message. I hope Jim likes it and will display it in his office.

The card flattens and goes into an envelope in case you are mailing your card. SCS also has the tutorial for a single easel card also. This is basically three of those in graduated sizes, put together.

If you are celebrating an anniversary this summer, I hope you have a lovely one!
