A White Georgia Christmas

I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday season! We visited with Jason and his family and then went on to Allison's where we had Christmas with Allison and Craig and his family. We meet my family from Florida at the cabin between Christmas and New Years. I warned them that the weather could be questionable for making it up there Sunday evening but they proceeded on.

There were several inches of snow on the ground at the cabin and it was a very beautiful scene all week. Here are some of the shots I took.

I did not go up until Monday and I stopped and got groceries to take there. They had not stopped as they were not sure that they would be able to make it to the cabin on Sunday. I had to park my car and then they came to me and helped me carry the groceries on up the road. Usually not much snow falls here until January and February so a white Christmas was very unusual. Last year when Jim and I were at the cabin on Christmas, a storm came through with high winds that kept us from driving through the Smokies as planned.

Aah, I'm so glad you had snow this Christmas... and we didn't! It's rare for us Midwesterners to miss out on the white stuff, but so far this winter's been good to us! You can have it!
