Picasa and Picnik

I have told you before that I use Picasa to edit my photos and post to this blog. They make it so easy! Here are a couple of cards I made this week and posted on Spotted Canary for the August Color Challenge. I used EK Success Brands products on these....it is time to start thinking about those Holiday cards and Jackson will be here before you know it!
Picasa has come out with an updated version, so when I downloaded it, I saw that it now has Picnik as a feature. I have been familiar with Picnik since 2008 when I became friends with Heidi Blankenship and she used it. There is the free portion and the part that you pay to use. The cost is less than $25 for a year and with as many photos as I edit, well worth the price. It only took one spin around the curves feature and I was sold. The two photo above are not that great. The sunlight was too bright. Below, I edited them on Picnik, adding snowflakes, postage stamp frames as well as tweaking the colors.

This program has so many features, you will probably get as tired of hearing me talk about Picnik as you are hearing me talk about Picasa. It is just so quick and user friendly. Even if you just use the free stuff, it is great. I also use it to re size my photos. So many times there is a size limit and I can quickly change it on Picnik!
