Patterns in the ice

Our next stop was a short climb down to the stream, above the waterfalls. Ice and snow was laying on the rocks and along the edges of the stream. I found the patterns in the icicles and in the ice to be very interesting.

Some of the icicles looked like a very delicate fringe hanging off the rocks.

If anyone needs to chill something, I think a few minutes down in this water will do it. I told Joyce when we were climbing down the hill that she was the only friend I knew that would do this with me!
