CHA Supershow, EK Success booth

Spotted Canary is the new website that is a great spot to share ideas and get project ideas, and we were signing crafters up to be part of this artist's community. Above, we are wearing our Spotted Canary shirts. In the photo is Corrine, me, Joy, Kara and Shane. On the website, you have a name, mine being Renaissance Crafter (as like the Renaissance man who knows something about everything, I like to do most all crafts!). Shane is Mr. SDU as he heads up the education program, Scrapbooking Design and You, which you can find at many retail stores. I teach it at my local Joann etc store. Corrine, Kara and I are on the Creative Artist Team (CAT) and we recently had a contest on the site on a mystery of which CAT member kidnapped the canary! I had created the little purse on the right in the photo below that included needle punch and needle felting and was included in the contest. Currently there is a contest for "Post the Most", so be sure and check it out at http://www.spottedcanary.com/. Joy, in the center, is the mama bird of the education department at EK Success Brands.
We did make it and take its at the booth, covering a little Art Blanche (EK Success) composition book with Carolyn Gavin papers and diecuts (K & Company) and it was great fun. The show was well attended and we had someone in all six chairs the entire time during the two day show. We also had computers where people could sign up for Spotted Canary and get a free tshirt.
EK Success Brands includes all the great tools and products from EK Success, Martha Stewart Crafts, Dimensions, Inkadinkado, Perler Beads, K & Company, Jolees, Sticko (hope I am not forgetting someone!)....but as you can see, we have some of the best stuff in the crafting world with which to work!
Below is the Dimensions booth with other new friends I made, Leslie on the left and Tara on the right. Leslie got a photo made with Debra Norville who has a line of yarn and had a booth at the show. Debra had stopped by the Dimensions booth and her sister had done one of our Make it and take its. Tara, below, asked, Who is Debra Norville? We decided it must be a generational thing and she was too young! Carol Duvall was there....many of us miss her show on HGTV!
Charles Kuralt of the crafting world, just giving you a report....more to come!
