Art Room, Franklin NC

One of the things I would like to do on my blog is to introduce you to stores that I visit. One of my favorite towns in the area of our cabin is Franklin, NC. Diane has had a little shop downstairs from the Primrose, but this month she moved into a wonderful space across the street. The address is 45 E. Main Street, Franklin, NC. Her website is www.artroomsupplies.com, phone number is 828-349-3777 and she is open from 10-4, Monday through Saturday.
Diane has a lot of neat things happening including free make and takes every Saturday in October and November from 10-1:00. There will also be an Arts and Crafts Swap and Sale on November 7 where you can take your stuff in and sale or trade it. I definitely need to take some! I really became the queen of too much stuff when my husband helped me unload my stamping room due to the leaking hot water heater!!!
The Art Room is the shop on the right in the red brick building.

Above is Diane in her new surroundings! Every time I go in I sit down and we just visit for a little while. I used to run into her a lot at conventions when I sold the Rubber Stamper.

Isn't the make and take station above great? Diane also has a classroom and restroom in the back of the store.

I always find cool projects and class descriptions when I visit her shop. We have talked about me popping up there and teaching sometime as it is so convenient to the cabin. We all know how much time I spend at the cabin!!! Franklin is also my favorite jumping off spot for a waterfall drive on highway 64 from Franklin to Highlands. If you find yourself in the area, stop in and see Diane. There are other cool shops in the little town to visit also.

Lucky Girl! How cool that you not only share the beautiful pictures, but a fun shop & proprietress, too. Thanks for the quilt card info. I LOVE them, but not sure who I would send them to, so may just have to contemplate on that one for a bit. Safe & Happy Travels, Holly. I keep thinking you are the perfect crafting ladies version of Charles Kuralt!

LOL...that is funny, Nise. I will have to tell my husband that! The Charles Kuralt of Crafting....I will accept that title. I was just at a location where Charles Kuralt had been. I believe it was Magnolia Plantation that they had a sign that he had been there.
Sad thing about stores is that there aren't that many left so I need to get to them while there still are some left! I plan on photographing Bonnie's Best Art Tools and maybe I will do the other two shops in Atlanta also. Your comments always brighten my day!

I missed you yesterday...but got both the 14thand 15th blogs in the same post??? I will definitely visit the "Art Room" when I visit Franklin...but only if you go with me (LOL)...looks like a cool place to visit! Now you come to Salem, OR and I'll take you to "Stampin' Cat"...favorite in my corner of the world.
