Pearson's Falls

My waterfall for the week (WFFTW) was Pearson's Falls. It is located off Hwy 176 between Tryon and Saluda, NC. It is privately owned and there is a $3.00 fee per person, but it is well worth the price! The falls drops 90 feet.
The walk is a lovely one! There are several picnic tables along the way and benches where you can sit and relax.

There were many lovely flowers and mushrooms along the way.....those will come on another post.
We went on up to Saluda, hoping to visit Random Arts, but Jane was closed. She had a note in the door that her shop would be closing at the end of the year due to her rent increasing 110 %. We did visit the scrapbook store in Landrum where Beverly was very nice. We enjoyed a lunch of honey chicken salad and fried cheese cake at the Hare and the Hound Restaurant in Landrum....a great suggestion from my Mother-in-law!

How Sad!! Another business forced to close because of something like that rental increase of 110%!?! I have often thought that having the building in use is better than it sitting empty, but what do I know? I do happen to agree that your $3 wasn't an outlandish expense, though. Am really enjoying your travels, Holly. Thanks for blogging us along!
