Hwy 64 Waterfalls

I headed up to the cabin last week before Labor Day weekend and took a trip up to Franklin and then over to Highlands to photograph waterfalls. I had traveled from Highlands to Franklin but since some of the falls are from the road, if you are on the wrong side of the road, you could miss them, like the one above.
I climed down to one stream and enjoyed my new Keen shoes I have that are great for tromping around in mountain streams!
The Joe Pye Weed is lovelier than normal this year (or so it seems) and makes a great addition to a mountain landscape.
I hope to do this route again in late October when the foilage will be in full color.

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day.........Happy Birthday (25th) to my daughter, Allison!
