Thanksgiving Owl

I know you don't often seen owls used on Thanksgiving cards, but I have always liked owls. As a teenager, when other girls had posters of bands on their walls, I had posters of owls...I know, WEIRD! I saw a owl from the train when I was in Alaska and that was very cool.

This Happy Thanksgiving stamp is actually from last year, but it is a nice one. I used Spellbinders die to frame the owl and punches as embellishments. The owl punch is a fun one from Martha Stewart Crafts.
I also applied some of that clear dimensional stuff to the owl's eyes. I know, it comes in many names and brands. I believe the one I used was from Plaid, but it doesn't matter which you use. It really brings the owl to life, in my opinion. The owl was done on watercolor paper and painted with watercolor paints. You can tell that I pop dotted the layers on the die cuts. Lots of favorites here!
