Heart Sucker!

This Serendipity stamp would make a wonderful valentine card! I love to add some dimension to images and here I stamped the image twice, cutting out the smaller heart and pop dotting it over the larger one. I also like to add the texture of the object, so here a glossy appearance was added. This could be done with clear embossing powder or many of the clear glossy adhesives or accents that are available. Another favorite trick of mine is to bunch up the ribbon....I put down a strong tape and then bunch up the ribbon over the adhesive. This isn't the best example I have, so I will find another to show you. I love ribbon!

Speaking of strong tape....did you know that the red liner tape sold to attach toupees is much cheaper than the red liner tape sold to crafters? I learned this from Jane in San Diego on the Spellbinders Wizard Yahoo group. She told about ordering the tape from Hair Direct and I think that is a great tip!

I would also like to thank Shirley for the Proximity Award. She received it on her blog, Card Art, Etc. and listed me as one of her recipients! Here is a description of the award..."This award is given to a blog that invests and believes in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!". Shirley lives up the road near Charlotte, NC.....I might have to have her meet me up at my friend, Beverly Terry's place (Terryific Times), north of Charlotte....that is if Beverly ever comes home from Aruba! I hope that you too will find that I am passionate about papercrafting....I came on the blog scene a little late (March 2008), so I don't have near the followers many bloggers do, but I do it because I love stamping and scrapping and love to share ideas I have or others have that I have found. Thanks, Shirley! Now I have to think about my list of "Proximity blogs"! You can check out Shirley's other choices on her blog.
