The Tufted Titmouse

This card, made with stamps from Serendipity Stamps, makes me think of the cabin (my home away from home) as we have had these birds (tufted titmouse) for about three years at the cabin. There will be a Mr. & Mrs. and they have babies in the spring. The Mr. always comes to the window of the cabin or the mirror of the car and pecks as he sees his reflection and thinks it is another bird. We call them the "pecking birds". I love the very elegant "Merry Christmas" stamp. I set it off in gray to match the bird, using a Spellbinders nestability to create the frame.
I used a little glitter on the gathered snow on the branches.

This is another example of a good way to put the Copic Colorless Blender to work. I used different shades of gray on the main body but the birds have a little rusty pink under their wings. I used a little marker there and then used the blender to pull that out and soften it. Often, people think that you use the blender to blend two of the same colors together. You don't need it for that...just used the lighter shade of the color to pull the colors together. It is great, however, to blend this rust color out to white or to lift or fade color as I did on the snowman in a previous post. Sometimes you can even correct a small mistake if you color out of the lines with the colorless blender.
