Picnic in the Mountains

Being at the cabin for the holiday this weekend made me think of this layout I did for Spellbinders in 2005. Unfortunately, some of these die have been discontinued, which teaches us to get them when we can.
All the fireworks and picnics have me in a party mood, but first I have a trip to Orlando.
I will be out of pocket for a couple of days.
Speaking of die, I hope you have been going to the sneak peek blogs and entering the contest Spellbinders is hosting.....Don't you just love the new die? I have the schedule listed on an earlier post, so be sure and check out each and every blog!
Yes, I do think I am in a mood for a party....but I think I will leave the ants out!
Stay cool and stay safe!

It was actually a make and take at the Caribe Royale. I think it was a convention of One Stroke painters and it was put on by Donna Dewberry Designs. Unfortunately, this group had never heard of Copic markers, so we did not sell as much as we would have liked.

Thanks for letting me know! I keep hoping to find copics somewhere near me (in Tampa). I'm going to have to break down and order them someday.

I'm trying to imagine why one-stroke painters would need Copics? But I probably thought the same thing about a soldering iron and stamping a year ago as well.

Hi Holly!
Just came here from the Spellbinders site. I noticed you live in Lawrenceville. How cool! I live about 10 mi east of there (Hamilton Mill). Did you ever go to Angel Art before she closed? I miss that place, but Archiver's is pretty good.
Hugs,
Julie (justwritedesigns)

Copics are available at Hobby Lobby and most fine Art Stores (Dick Blick, Binders...etc.) I found a set of the original Copics actally marked down yesterday (they are now stocking the Sketch rather than originals)at Sam Flax here in Atlanta. Hth,

Hi Julie,
Oh, yes, I did the happy dance a few times at Angel Art (remember the incentive program?). I even taught there. I go to Archivers often, especially since I am going to the mall there to take Apple classes. I live near Gwinnett Place Mall. Good to hear from you. One good thing about stores like AA was that you were able to meet people in the area with like interests.

WOW! I love the mountains (they are actually "smokie" colored :D) and the ants, and well, everything!
