Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island

On the north end of Jekyll Island, we visited driftwood beach. This place was so cool. Because of the position of the island, the beach was covered with beautiful old trees that had washed up. You can see below how large some of the root systems were.
Some of the details in the weathered wood was just beautiful!

This beach is just across the water from the village of St. Simons Island. Above, you can see the lighthouse that I climbed as well as a boat going by, which I framed with some of the driftwood. I never knew that this was Jekyll Island that I could see from St. Simons. I would love to do portraits at this beach!
