Mobile, Alabama

Well, I have been missing in action for the last week or so and I have been to L.A. Now, you might assume that I mean Los Angeles since that is where the CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) trade show is being held, but no, I mean Lower Alabama! There are actually sub shops there named L.A. Subs! I was in Mobile, to be more specific. It had been thirty five years since I had been there (the summer we were married) so when Jim was going there on business, I tagged along.

Mobile is a beautiful southern city on a bay that connects with the Gulf of Mexico. As you can see, it has the charm of the old south, complete with balconies, old cemeteries and old church buildings. I went to one garden while there, but I want to go back and visit another (Bellingrath Gardens). Hopefully, I will get to go there when the azaleas are in bloom!

As always, I took a lot of photos, so hopefully you won't mind taking a little trip with me and I might throw in some photography tips along the way.

Hi Candy, thanks for reminding me of the convention. I am usually out of town that weekend, but I think I will be here, so yes, I will try to go! I love Sylva! Great Court House! You will pass near our cabin if you come down 441! It is near the Black Rock Mtn State Park after you come into GA (in Mountain City). Will you be there both days?
