Highlands, NC

As you come into Highlands on highway 64 from Franklin, you will pass this lake and the spillover. Highlands is over 4,000 in elevation, so it is usually a little cooler here than lower elevations.

There was a new Art Center with a very nice covered bridge entrance.

It has been years since I have walked around the shops of Highlands, but it is a very pretty little town.

I hope to go see Campbell Covered Bridge this weekend, the only covered bridge remaining in South Carolina.
