Winter Wishes

This Serendipity image was done with watercolors on watercolor paper. The torn paper echos the edge of the little iceberg the bears on taking a ride on. Salt was added to the background while the wash was still wet.
Some embellishments can become very expensive, but this card shows how you can just take a strip of paper, emboss it and use it like you would a wide piece of ribbon. That, along with a couple of eyelets and some fuzzy yarn really keeps the cost down on making this card. Another good thing about watercolor paper is if you mess up the image on one side, you can flip it over and use the other side. The greeting was die cut with a Spellbinders die and the inside of the letters were colored with metallic pens and topped off with a white gel pen.
