Walking around Mobile

There is quite a contrast in Mobile with the architecture. There are several new modern buildings that tower over the older romantic buildings. The visitor center is in a building that is a replica of an old fort (above left). They have great maps and information there, so it is definitely worth the stop. Among the maps they have is the one for the free trolley. This is a great way to get an overview to one of the historical sections of downtown.

Unfortunately, I did not get to cover all the historical districts I wanted to see, but I was very pleased with what I did get to visit. Hope to be able to visit again soon!
