Watercolor Signs of Spring

Signs of Spring....wow, that sounds good! As I am writing this, the windchill here in Atlanta is zero, so I could use some signs of spring!
I was surprised last week to learn that a couple of the cards I did three years ago for Serendipity Stamps was picked up and published in the current Paper Creations Spring issue. Above is a photo of the front of the magazine and below the article in the magazine.
You know from previous posts on my blog that I really enjoy using Mary Dew Lee's Serendipity Stamps. These were done using my favorite medium, watercolor. The dandelion was stamped and then watercolored, while I used watercolor crayons on the pussy willow card. Both are great ways to use watercolor and I am convinced that anyone can watercolor with a little practice and the help of images supplied by stamps.
I was thinking of doing some watercolor tutorials here on the blog if anyone is interested in seeing that. I teach a class called "Stamping with Watercolor" and I could explore here some of the projects we do in that class.

A few posts back, I posted a card I did using Serendipity Stamps featuring a mushroom scene and quote about breathing in nature. Someone commented that the quote stamp contained a misspelled word and I assured the commenter that I would make sure Mary knew about that misspelling. As I was sure she had, she corrected that mistake within a week of the stamp being released and has now sent me a corrected version. It is all good now!

Let me know if watercolor tutorials are something you are interested in seeing here on Today's Creations. The magazine in on the stands at Barnes & Nobles, Walmart, Joanne's as well as many independent shops.
