Over last weekend, I went to South Carolina with my husband as his mother was back in the hospital. She was able to come home on Saturday. I visited her there on Friday night, but on Saturday, I had Jim drop me off at my friend's house. I am sure I have talked about Kathy as she always send me beautiful cards. We have a lot of the same loves...paper, punches, diecuts, ribbon, copics and embellishments.
I sincerely offered to help her with anything she needed to get done for Christmas...baking, wrapping....I even offered to do laundry! Laundry is the household chore that I am best at.....though I am pretty good at baking and gift wrapping also! We ended up talking a lot and looking at cards she had made and then visited a few craft stores in the area. It was a fun day spent with a good friend that I don't get to see very often. I have known her since 2001 when I met her at convention and she took my class.
Christmas is the one holiday that she does not usually do cards. She does a Christmas letter and photo of her family, which is fine. Part of Christmas is just keeping in touch.
She did design some cards this year and she did a beautiful job! She always decorates the envelopes and has a great eye for detail! I included the envies in the photos.
I just thought I would share some of Kathy's beautiful work. It was a very fun day! Time spent with friends is an important part of Christmas!
