Well, hopefully my cards have arrived at their destinations now. I did send some store bought cards this year as well as these that I made. No matter how simple the design, it always seems like it takes a lot of time to make hand made cards. As you have seen the last few days, however, I enjoy the cards I recieve for years to come.
This year's theme was based on the fact that I spent three weeks in the Rockies and that the post office came out with the Holiday Evergreens Forever Stamps. I really like those stamps and did not even check to see if they came out with other holiday designs. Besides, I knew I could get these out of the machine and not have to stand in line to buy them!
I used my Grand Calibur to cut the two diecuts and it was very nice to be able to cut both of them at once. I added some flocking and glitter to represent snow on the pine bough I did with watercolor crayons.
Inside I enclosed a letter that I did on evergreens paper and a collage of photos with a background of evergreens. I took the evergreens photo in the Rockies. Oh, and I included a few photos of Jackson in the collage....LOL! Move over kids, the grandbaby is here now!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and new year! We will be going to see the kids and then I will be with Allison and Craig, my parents and sister's family at the cabin. Last year it snowed! Take care and be safe!
