Our stamp club that meets at the Binders in Atlanta has been meeting for eleven years. Each December, we have our meeting in one of our homes rather than at the store and we do a gift exchange. I had heard that this was going to be the last meeting, but some of the girls have contacted the store and they are going to try to keep it going. In January we will be doing a shoebox class where each person brings the materials needed to make a card. Thus you go home with the number of cards or kits as the number of people that are there. There will also be no charge for belonging to the group and the position of teaching will be voluntary (no gift cards in exchange for teaching).
So, any readers in the Atlanta area, feel free to come to Binders on the second Saturday of each month at 10:30. The class lasts about two hours and several usually go to Jason's Deli for lunch afterwards.
I took a low calorie Waldorf Salad (lower left hand corner below), fashioned after the salad on the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday. Instead of sour cream, mayo and sugar, I mix my salad in low fat vanilla yogurt. Also included with the sauce and apples are celery, craisens and walnuts. Love this salad! If you like it sweeter add a little Splenda.
Speaking of low calories, I know we all eat more this time of year than normal, but when gift giving, it is always great to think about the recipient and their diet. I recently received a gift that contained over 6500 calories. Why would you give someone on Weight Watchers something like that? I appreciate the thought, but if I opened it, I would dive into and not come out of until it is gone! Guess some regifting will be in order (to someone that will be reasonable with their eating or actually goes to holiday parties). I don't mean to sound ungrateful.....just trying to watch what I eat!
One of the gifts at the exchange was a glossy, smooth ceramic tile that you could use with a dry erase marker. I thought this was a great idea. It was stamped and came with a pen and a stand.
Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday parties!

I wish I were still in Atlanta! I don't know why I never made it to the Binders group. I don't think I realized that it was on Saturday mornings... Oh well. You've inspired me again. I'm not having the success I wanted to have on my own, so I'm signing up for Weight Watchers this weekend. Merry Christmas Holly!

Don't send that box my way...LOL! If I see it, I eat it!
Happy Holidays Holly!
