Just as the colors are more vibrant as sunrise, you will also get a warm vibrant color at sunset. Below, the star formed a star burst. This can occur naturally on the camera or you can use a starlight filter to get a star from light sources. I often use starlight filters for weddings, but I don't remember if I had one on here or not.
I used the tunnel above as a frame for the sunset. I think the saturation has been played with on the photo below, an easy thing to play with on Picasa. A little goes a long way with saturation, but you can get away with more on sunsets just because everyone has seen vibrant sunsets.
