Recycled Heart

Thought I would share a photo of the new Punch Around The Page set I bought while in Memphis. As you can see, they are packaged together, which is good. Last year, I had my husband stopping at Michaels stores in the neighboring state for a halloween border punch! This way, you get both of them together! Also, there are instructions enclosed that gives you the measurements that you can use to make the punching come out right.
Our daughter had some Diet Cokes when we were visiting her that were celebrating heart month. The person holding up the heart reminded me of the postage stamp of a similar image. I just could not resist trying some die cuts with the cans. As you can see, the smaller heart is solid red and would work great on valentines. The coke zero cans that are black could be used to make spiders or bats for halloween! I love to drink Diet Coke and I do live in Atlanta, so I don't guess it isn't too bizarre that I diecut Coke cans!

Speaking of heart health, I will celebrate 16 weeks being on Weight Watchers next week and should reach 40 lbs lost. That is forty pounds lost during a timespan that covers Halloween, my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, a wedding, the Super Bowl and Valentines Day! I actually lost a little during the eight days on the road, so I was very happy about that as it is hard eating out that often and losing weight!

Heres hoping you have a healthy heart and a warm Valentines Day full of friends, family and love!

Love the can diecuts! Cute idea! Keep it up, Holly - you're doing a wonderful job on the weight loss. You can be proud that you've lost even with those fattening holidays, etc... that's a real accomplishment!

Cute! I was trying to get that diet coke heart into some scrapping but had only thought to take pictures --- I like your idea much better. How did you do it?

Dazey, I used Spellbinders die and the Wizard to diecut the cans, but you could use any personal diecutting machine. You can definitely cut the aluminum with steel cut die but even some low profile ones too. It is easy to cut the can apart with scissors, especially once you get through the top.

Thanks for the encouragement with the weigh loss...Sorry, Jan, I don't want any extra to lose!
