The "quilter" actually turned out to be someone I knew. I used to teach classes at the local Joann's store with her. It was nice to see her and catch up with her since it has been years since I last saw her.
The little building that I thought was a one room school house actually turned out to be a tenement farm house and two very nice ladies were there to sing and dance and play games with the children.
There were also a couple of ladies explaining about the food that would be available on the farm and the children were allowed to churn butter.
A blacksmith was in the blacksmith building doing demonstrations. Also on the grounds was a woodworker and others as well as many activities for the children. More to come....

What a fun day you had! I've been to one of these at 'Old Bethpage' on Long Island, NY and it was amazing! Thanks for the tour Holly.
