This park is such a walker's paradise! Most of the paths are in the shade in the morning and the air is full of fragrance of honeysuckle and the sound of birds singing. I can provide photos, but not the sounds and smells!
The paths cross over McDaniel Creek in two locations. Because this land has never been developed, there are large old trees like these tulip poplars and vegetation like trillium growing that you will seldom see in the area!
I have used the expression for years that I am going to "take a little trip and never leave the farm!" Usually that means I am daydreaming. Now when I use it, I think of this farm. I feel like I have been to the mountains and back but have not even left the area around me!
