Our daughter and her husband celebrated their fourth anniversary Thursday....time does fly! I talked about using mirrors when doing photographs, but another thing I like to use is the natural light streaming in a window. I have many examples of both, but here is one of my daughter at a window.
This is a fruit centerpiece that my friend, Joyce, made for the reception. It is hard to tell in one photo just how beautiful it was from all sides. This still makes me happy when I look at it.
I took several photographs of the jewelry Allison wore (pearls), their rings and other detail from the wedding like the candies, cake topper, etc. I shot this one on a silver platter, so you get the blue from the sky and used bleeding hearts for some more color.
These were from a test run of dipped strawberries I did to represent brides and grooms. I could not sleep the night before the wedding (surprise, surprise!) so I got up at one in the morning and did two trays of strawberries!
It was a lot of work, but everything came together and looked very nice.....the crisis of the wedding according to my daughter? My hair! Another story for another day! Happy Anniversary, Craig and Allison!

Thanks, Holly, for the laugh. It's HER day (she's stunning!) and she's obsessing over YOUR hair! I sometimes drive my Mom to family events. I call it "driving Miss Daisy". I often have to fix her hair before we can go because I am unhappy with it (long story that involves a family beautician). And this from a gal who visits her beauty parlor once a year! Happy weekend!
You really got some wonderful shots... what a blessing to have your mom as photographer!
